CASE STUDY: Bottler
Upper management at a major bottling company was overwhelmed by production problems that were sending tremendous quantities of plastic waste to the landfill. RMI set in place a total recycling program to recover, process, and sell all recyclable commodities at a profit. Those commodities included aluminum cans, cardboard, plastic bottles, strapping, stretch film, and barrels.

With RMI's help, income from scrap increased by 150%. The program is still working today, and the Director of Operations who implemented the plan has been promoted into senior management.
